City of Venice
Venice is without doubt one of the most important and fascinatine cities of Italy. From Jesolo, you can easily reach Venice by sailing for 45 minutes or by train, leaving from San Donà di Piave railstation. We would not reccomend you to drive because there are only expensive and private parking places.
Venice has always been the very European cradle of history, art, tradition and charm, it is a city that deserves to be completely discovered and explored. The city almost seems to be a thick net of monuments, churches, museums, palaces, bridges and even 16th century buildings.
Piazza San Marco and the Bridges of Rialto, Sospiri and Scalzi are the first and the most important things to be seen in Venice. The ones wanting to get a better idea of Venice, its tradition, history and culture should spend at least three days in this wonderful city.
Venice is completely surrounded by other picturesque little islands like Burano, Murano and Torcello. Burano is famous for the Venetian lace artcraft and Murano for its typical glass.
Moreover, Venice Lido is a little island facing the Adriatic sea, in which the international cinema festival takes place every year.
